"One small step for man..."

video

Maddox has developed an interest in astronauts and picked out the book "Mission to the Moon" at the library yesterday. This morning we watched a DVD of the astronauts mission to the moon and looked at the book. Pretty fun stuff! I love how he pronounces astronaut.

Hide and Seek

Someone found a pretty good hiding place!

DooGoLand

We crashed my friends meetup group playdate and had a blast. These indoor play areas will be perfect for winter when it's too cold to go out (like all 5 days in Texas)!

Six Years!

Bret and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary in August. Here we are in Wichita getting ready to go to dinner and a movie. Thanks to Granddad and Grandmom for watching Maddox! Can I just say....I love my husband! I am married to such wonderful man and am so thankful for how God has blessed us.

More Berries

"Quickberry! Quackberry! Pick me a blackberry!" - Jamberry by Bruce Degan

Very cute book everyone should own.

My Little Berry Picker (and eater)

"One berrry
Two berry
Pick me a blueberry."

"Under the bridge
And over the dam
Looking for berries
Berries for jam"

"Finger and pawberry
My berry, your berry"

Maddox, Jane and I went blackberry picking this summer. Maddox was very good at picking the ripe berries, as well as eating them. The owner was so nice and gracious! We'll defenitely be back next summer.

Taco Tuesday

video

Most Tuesdays you will find us at Rosa's Tortilla Factory enjoying their $3.33 taco dinner special. Maddox really looks forward to "Taco Tuesday", as we all do. If he sees a pink stucco building he sure to shout "Taco Tuesday!" He's a little shy of the camera these days so his usual enthusiasm isn't quite captured here.

Little Boy in a Big Bed

Maddox decided he was done with cribs after we got home from San Antonio. We set up our full sized guest bed in his room and he loves it. He thought he was so grown up! For the first week he stayed in bed after waking up and would call for us to come get him out. After he realized the freedom the bed provided things have been a little different. The other day he woke up early and helped himself to the refrigerator. I woke up to Maddox giving me a gallon of milk and sippy cup in bed! So self sufficient!
